Ms. Bloom is a soprano saxophonist of direct, purposeful attack and bluesy intuition. Her most recent album, “Wild Lines,” is a strong double disc set featuring her musical interpretations of Emily Dickinson poems, with just a bass-drums trio. At St. Paul’s church, she’ll strip things down even further: She’ll appear in a duet with the bassist Kent McLagan, using no amplification, working in direct communication with the architecture and the audience.
